We believe that proper nutrition provides a necessary foundation for both body and mind.  However,  there is so much confusing and contradictory information in the media about what foods we should all be eating.  How does anyone sort it all out?

We all enjoy delicious food and we all have busy lives. Is there a way can you eat what you want and like and still lose weight, improve you mood and energy, and feel good knowing what you are eating isn’t harming you?  More and more of us are struggling with health challenges related to to nutritional deficiencies and a fast food lifestyle.  When pre-diabetes, irritable bowel syndrome or non-celiac gluten sensitivity enter the picture dietary changes consultation with and support from a nutritionist can make all the difference.

This is where my Holistic Nutrition coaching comes in (see services).  It is my passion to share with people the tools, information and support that helped me to feel like a completely new person in my own life.  Yes,  food works for health!

What about Psychotherapy?

For some, dietary changes will make all the difference needed for improved mood and energy.  Others of us have more in depth psychological needs that will best respond to psychotherapeutic interventions such as group therapy or trauma work.  While sound nutrition is important for everyone, some of us need to go deeper to heal old wounds or learn new ways of thinking and develop new skills for coping and relating.  Mary Kay is a licensed clinical social worker with over 20 years experience providing psychotherapy to groups and individuals.  If you are uncertain whether you would benefit from psychotherapy or nutrition therapy Mary Kay has the experience and training to help assess both nutritional and mental health needs.  Mary Kay also has a vast network of professionals in both the nutritional and mental health fields to help you find the support that will most benefit you.
